My academic career has the distinction of working in public and private universities in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. My UAE experience started at UAE University in Al Ain in 1989 where I assumed my first leadership position as chair of the media department. A decade later, I joined Zayed University in Dubai, where I served for twenty-five years as Professor of Mass Communication and in leadership roles including Assistant Provost, Associate Dean, and accreditation coordinator for the College of Communication and Media Sciences. Most recently I served as Dean of the College of Media at Liwa University.
